| Welcome to the Lynne Richardson Community Centre! |
Since 1993, the our Community Centre has been a constant voice of hope in a
changing world.
From 1993 until March 2012, we were known as the Silver Bridle Community Centre.
In April 2012, the centre was renamed Lynne Richardson Community Centre, in honour of our President of 9 years, Lynne Richardson, who passed away in February 2012.
Serving the needs of the
Silver Bridle neighbourhood, located between Ashmore and
Crestwood Heights on the Gold Coast, we have seen many other
programs come and go. For over 16 years, we have been
committed to our ongoing mission:
"Creating the Community You Want to Live In"
Happy Families | Creative Children | Active Young People | Leadership & Life Skills Development |

What's in a Name?
Silver Bridle from years gone by...
Many years ago, before the housing estate was developed, the land around the community centre was a horse property, and was given the name "Silver Bridle". The name was kept when the land was sold and the housing estate was built.
The photo above was kindly donated by Heather Mercer.
Heather tells us that the car was put up for sale by the landowners, and it was purchased by her brother Bill, who used it for surfing trips as far away as Noosa, and locally around the Gold Coast.
Thank you also to Ronnie and Pete who assisted in passing the photo along to us at the Community Centre.
